LeAnn Rimes Announces Divorce

After months of speculation, this week LeAnn Rimes announced that she and husband Dean Sheremet are ending their 7-year marriage. On Sept. 1, Rimes posted this message on her Web site:

After much thoughtful mutual consideration, Dean and I have agreed to move forward with dissolving our marriage. This decision was amicable and we remain committed and caring friends with great admiration for one another. Thank you so much for all of your continued love and support – it is deeply appreciated.

The 27-year-old Rimes has been rumored to be having an affair with actor Eddie Cibrian, who recently filed for divorce from his wife, Brandi Glanville. The Sept. 7 issue of People shows the couple out on several dates in recent weeks in Los Angeles.
