Country Music artist Laura Bryna likes to lend a hand to charitable organizations whenever she gets a chance. Last week Bryna participated in an event titled KEEP It Hollywood, which stands for pre-Kidney Early Evaluation Program.
The event linked to comedian George Lopez and his wife, who are the national spokespeople for the National Kidney Foundation. In 2005 Lopez was diagnosed with a genetic kidney condition, causing him to need a kidney transplant. His wife, Ann, was the one who donated her kidney for Lopez. Since then Lopez and his wife have been very active in the awareness and prevention of kidney diseases.
Bryna, along with many other celebrities came out to participate in the event by getting tested and spreading the word about the need to get tested for chronic kidney disease. "We have one precious life, and we should respect that. I think what George and Ann Lopez are doing is a blessing, and I am honored to be able to participate." Bryna said.
