Lady Antebellum’s Trifecta
That headlines for all my horse racing fans out there. Lady A scored the third #1 single off their double-platinum Need You Now album this week with the latest single “Our Kind of Love”. The trio is nominated for five 2010 CMA Awards including Entertainer of the Year, Vocal Group of the Year, Album of theYear for Need You Now, Single of the Year for “Need You Now” and Music Video of theYear for “Need You Now.”  Each member also snagged an additional nomination individually in the Song of the Year category as songwriters for “Need You Now.” Lady A is hot.
 
Is That Reba On That Album Cover?
Reba needs no last name unveiled the cover for her new album All The Women I Am last week in an exclusive USA Today article. Why she didn’t choose CountryHound I don’t know but that’s another story. I gave it a dog’s-eye view and it’s a good thing I’m a Bloodhound cause it was kind of hard to find her in all that’s going on there! What’s up with that title too, is it some kind of split personality thing? Woof.

Chevrolet, the official ride of Country Music, is once again honoring our men and women in uniform by bringing back the popular promotion, "Chevrolet Salutes America's Heroes." Launching September 13 at www.youreverydayhero.com, this promotion encourages people to nominate friends or family members who, while in uniform, have demonstrated the military spirit of overcoming obstacles, inspiring others and positively impacting their country and community. The winning service person will get a trip to the CMA Awards on November 10. One lucky voter will get a chance too! I’m available if anyone needs an escort.
 
Taylor Swift Absolves Kanye
Everybody thought Taylor and Kanye would go at it like junkyard dogs on the MTV Awards Sunday night. What a let down. It turned into love bird thing including Tweets gone wild over Taylor’s performance. Taylor sang her song “Innocent” with lines like “Everyone of us has messed up, too . . . I hope you remember today is never too late to be brand-new.” Of course not to be outdone, Kanye chided himself in his rap:” I always find something wrong / You’ve been putting up with my [expletive] for too long . . . Let’s have a toast to scumbags.” I guess it’s good to forgive and move on, but I was hoping to get my hackles up.
