Lady A's Hillary Scott Denies Engagement Rumors

Country mega trio Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott is shooting down rumors that she and her drummer boyfriend Chris Tyrrell are engaged. 

 

Scott donned a sparkly diamond ring at last Sunday's ACM Awards, and since then, whispers of possible plans to tie the knot have flooded the only lady of Lady A.

 

"First of all, I'm not engaged! On the record," Scott said. "Whenever you wear fancy jewelry like this, you just put it on the finger that fits, and this is the finger it fit on. I'm not engaged yet."

 

Scott and Tyrrell have been dating since last year, and the two rang in 2011 together in Florida. Christmas found the couple in Saratoga, N.Y., where Tyrrell planned a romantic date, which included a ride in a horse-drawn carriage.

 

While Scott waits on the real engagement, Lady Antebellum is going down under with Keith Urban on his "Get Closer 2011" world tour.

 

After their Australian tour, the group will continue work on the follow-up to their multi-platinum album, “Need You Now.”
