Lady Antebellum's Hillary Scott To Tie The Knot

Love is in the air for Lady Antebellum front woman Hillary Scott and her drummer boyfriend Chris Tyrell. While vacationing at a lake in East Tennessee with their families for the Fourth of July weekend, Chris popped the question to his girlfriend of over a year.

“Chris proposed exactly the way I’ve always dreamed,” Hillary told People magazine. “Our families were close by, but it was just us out on a beautiful deck overlooking a lake in East Tennessee. We had just been on a hike and – in our workout clothes – he hit the knee! We feel so blessed by God that He sent us each other, and we are looking so forward to forever together!”

The two met while touring with Tim McGraw early last year, but because of two other tours, Lady A’s summer headliner and Chris’s work on Brad Paisley’s H2O II Tour, the wedding likely won’t be for awhile. But in the meantime, Hillary can pen more love songs to her sweetie, following the band’s latest single “Just a Kiss” which was inspired by hers and Chris’s relationship.

“There is so much excitement at the beginning of a new relationship,” Hillary told Billboard magazine. “This song is about one of those times when your brain kicks in and tells your heart, ‘Good things are worth waiting for.’”

After finishing this summer’s tour, Lady Antebellum will be releasing their new album, Own the Night, on September 13, 2011.
