Nashville, Tenn. – Reigning CMA and ACM Vocal “Group of the Year” Lady Antebellum’s lead track “Just A Kiss” off their forthcoming third Capitol Nashville album debuted at No. seven on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and became the highest debut by a country group in the chart’s 52-year history. The single sold over 211,000 digital copies in its first week, earning the No. one position on iTunes’ country singles chart. “Just A Kiss” is Lady A’s highest charting radio single debut to date and fastest gainer, landing in the Top 20 on Billboard’s Country Singles chart after only two weeks.

The overwhelming response has also carried over to the social media networks, where fans are rabid in expressing their immediate connection to the song’s lyrics after it first debuted on American Idol. The trio will again perform “Just A Kiss” on the 2011 Billboard Music Awards set to air live from Las Vegas on Sun., May 22 at 8:00P ET/7:00P CT on ABC.

The new album, slated for release later this year, follows the band’s second disc Need You Now. Since its release in Jan. 2010, the album has sold over five million copies across the globe, spawned three multi-week No. one hits (“Need You Now,” “American Honey,” “Our Kind of Love”) and scored over a dozen award show trophies. For more information on “Just A Kiss” and a full list of appearances and tour dates, visit www.ladyantebellum.com.
