2009 CMA Group of the Year Lady Antebellum will perform the National Anthem two times this month, including a performance on New Year’s Day at the “Allstate Fan Fest” street concert in New Orleans for the Sugar Bowl.

The trio will open the Tennessee Titans home game vs. the St. Louis Rams on Dec. 13 and ring in the New Year at the Allstate Sugar Bowl between University of Cincinnati and the University of Florida in New Orleans on Jan. 1. The trio A will kick off Sugar Bowl festivities and headline the free concert beginning at 6 p.m. in the JAX Brewery Parking lot. Both games will air on FOX.

“It wouldn’t feel like the holidays without football,” Lady A vocalist Charles Kelley said in a news release. “We love being part of the opening ceremonies of some of these big games because there’s so much energy in the stadium. You look out and see the players and fans and then hear the planes flying over and the fireworks shooting off...I get chills every time…it’s a total adrenaline rush!”

Lady A is nominated for multiple Grammy awards including Best Country Perfomance by a Duo or Group With Vocals and Best Country Song. Their latest single, “Need You Now,” is atop the Country charts for the fourth consecutive week.
