Lady A Owns The Night And The Charts

Hot on the heels of their third consecutive CMA award for Best Vocal Group, Lady Antebellum's latest album Own The Night was RIAA certified Platinum for selling over one million copies in just four weeks. 
 
"It's been a dizzying and excited few months launching this album, but it's also really energizing to see how the fans are reacting to some of the songs on our new record," says Dave Haywood.  "The reaction both in the States and overseas has been a huge confidence booster as we are getting ready to launch our first big arena tour this Friday.  We couldn't be more excited to get back out on the road!" 
 
The album's lead single "Just A Kiss" has claimed its place at the top of US country music charts, but is also climbing the charts overseas in countries such as the UK, Sweden, France, Japan, Portugal, and Australia.  The second single "We Owned The Night" is also rising in popularity and looks poised for same type of success as the first.
 
Lady Antebellum is currently nominated for several American Music Awards and will kick off the first leg of their Own The Night 2011 Tour this Friday in Knoxville, TN.
