Lady A Dominates Adult Top 40 Chart

Country trio Lady Antebellum is at the top of Billboard’s Top 200 chart this week for the third time. Their sophomore album, Need You Now, has spent a total of four weeks at the top since its release two months ago and has already become platinum certified.

This week the album’s title track became the fastest rising Country crossover, topping Billboard’s Adult Top 40 chart in only 10 weeks. “Need You Now” is the second Country song in the chart’s history to hit the No. 1 spot, 10 years after its predecessor.
As the radio and album sales charts collide, Lady A also finds “Need You Now” at the top of Billboard’s Country Digital Sales chart, with nearly 2.8 downloads to date. And after spending five weeks at No. 1 on the CMT Top 20 Countdown, it has also reached the No. 1 position on sister-network VH1’s Top 20 Countdown this week.
