Kristy Lee Cook Signs New Record Deal

In the midst of filming a new reality show, Kristy Lee Cook has signed a record deal with Broken Bow Records and will begin working on a new album soon.

 

After being dropped from Sony Music Nashville in December 2008, the singer was exuberant to announce via Twitter that she had signed with Broken Bow. Jason Aldean, Blake Wise, James Wesley and Krista Marie are also on the Broken Bow roster.

　

Cook’s reality show, Goin’ Country, showcases the star's passion for hunting and horses by giving fans a closer look at her daily life. Despite the rising success of the show, the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals organization claims Cook is seeking her “15 minutes of fame” and raised doubts about the show’s credibility, reported TheBoot.com.

　

“The meat is going somewhere,” Cook said. “It is great because I get to feed all these people. Whether you like hunting or not. I know I get to help people eat.”
