Country singer Kix Brooks, half of the well-known Brooks & Dunn duo, has found new success, but this time it’s not with music but rather wine.Brooks, along with his three partners, Fred Mindermann, John Russell and Kip Summers, opened the winery in Middle Tennessee. They found that the perfect location for the vineyard would be in Arrington, Tenn., just south of Nashville in Williamson Country. Brooks believes the location fits because many elite, sophisticated community members reside there, many of which have experienced places such as Napa Valley and can really get an appreciation for good wine. Arrington Vineyards opened up in 2005 and due to much success, has already had to expand.  They have added a second wine tasting room, which is free, and visitors have 12 different wines to choose from. After wine tasting, guests are urged to bring a picnic basket to enjoy ther wine and scenery.Brooks said one of the best things about the winery is the experience and that it is basically free. He told AOL's The Boot, “It doesn't cost anything to come. You can go to the tasting bar and it doesn't cost a nickel to taste our wines and see if there's anything you like."Obviously, once you do find something you like, you can buy the wine and then you can go outside and it's really fun to see everyone getting in this competition of who has the biggest table spread. People just bring really elaborate picnics and it's a great alternative instead of going to a restaurant and spending a bunch of money."Along with great wine and experience, you can also catch great live entertainment at the vineyard.  From time to time, Brooks makes an appearance and play for visitors. For more information, visit www.arringtonvineyards.com.
