3/28/2008 Meaghan Mitchell The King of Country Music is soon to released his 37th album on April 1, and this is no joke. George Strait's Troubadour follows the country superstar's CMA Album of the Year It Just Comes Natural and includes his current top five single 'I Saw God Today.' "It's a great record to start it out with," says George Strait. "Anyone who has had a kid can relate to seeing them for the first time and know that it is really and truly a gift from God." The 12-song album features guest appearances by Vince Gill, Patty Loveless, and Dean Dillon. Although the Country Music audience is aware of the power of Strait's voice, others insist it is even better this time around. "He's always good," co-producer Tony Brown says, "but he sang really good on this album." "His vocal tone has progressed very, very nicely in the last five or six years," observes Dillon, who has written 13 of Strait's hits, dating back to the first 1981's "Unwound." Strait's album, described as a mix of the playful and the profound, is available April 1.
