Kid Rock, Taylor Swift to Perform for Young Vets

Taylor Swift and Kid Rock are among those scheduled to perform for the CNN and MTV collaboration, A Night for Vets: An MTV Concert for the BRAVE. The event will be taped before an invitation-only audience of young veterans and their families and premiers on MTV Oct. 24 at 8 p.m. EST.

 

The concert features musical artists that cover nearly every genre, including live performances by 50 Cent, Ludacris and Saving Abel. Performances by Swift, Kid Rock, Kanye West, Fall Out Boy and Nelly will be previously recorded.

 

MTV News correspondent Sway Calloway will host the event, which also will feature MTV News and CNN news packages to be introduced by CNN’s Anderson Cooper. Interviews with veterans in the audience by CNN’s Headline News anchor Robin Meade and an satellite interview with CNN international correspondent Michael Ware, who is currently in Baghdad, will also be a part of the program. 

 

BRAVE, The Bill of Rights for American Veterans, is a petition created by non-partisan veterans’ organizations to garner the support of elected officials in addressing veterans’ issues.
