Key West Songwriters Festival Scheduled for April

Paul-OverstreetAfter 14 years, the tradition will continue with the Key West Songwriters Festival on April 29, when fans will be exposed over 100 diverse songwriters. The festival, which is sponsored by Better Angels Music, will host the artists as they perform in more than 20 concerts during the festival’s five day run, playing at local hot spots and watering holes. Guests include Paul Overstreet, famous for writing songs for artists such as Randy Travis, Kenny Chesney and Faith Hill, among others. Other guests expected to attend the festival are Jamey Johnson, known for many of his own songs as well as George Strait’s song, “Give It Away,” Bobby Pinson, who wrote Sugarland’s “Want To” and Tim Nichols who created Tim McGraw’s hit, “Live Like You Were Dying.”New artists and songwriters will be added in the days leading to the event.
