After a heavy schedule packed with regular performances, Kenny Chesney's 2009 summer tour will conclude this Saturday, Sept. 19, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.
This could be the last time fans see Chesney on a major tour for a while. Known for beginning his tours in early summer and continuing to play into late fall, Chesney has stated that it is time for a break to reconnect with his family.
"I need to recharge creatively and get off the clock of having to be somewhere...and having to keep juggling all these things. And people needing answers. I just felt like this year it finally hit me that I need to get reconnected with my family," Chesney told Entertainment Weekly.
Don't worry though, Chesney has said that he won't be able to stay away from the stage too long, admitting that he will most likely play at select venues if the opportunity presents itself.
"I'm not quitting," he told the magazine. "It's just a short pause. It would be easy to keep doing it, because it's fun and the fans are unbelievable...Then you realize that at some point you're missing a part of your life."
