Kenny Chesney Racks Up $71 Million in Ticket Sales in 2009

Kenny Chesney's 2009 tour, Sun City Carnival, sold $71 million worth of tickets, according to a report released by PollStar. CMT.com reported that Chesney's tour came in first among Country tours and sixth among all genres in 2009.
U2 came in first overall on the report, selling $123 million worth of tickets in 2009, and Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band ranked second, selling $94.5. Elton John and Billy Joel's 2009 tour came in third, trailed by Britney Spears, AC/DC, Chesney, Jonas Brothers, Dave Matthews Band, Fleetwood Mac and Metallica.
