Kenny Chesney performed at a rain-shortened concert at Pizza Hut Park in Texas two weeks ago, but that wasn't good enough for the Entertainer of the Year.
Spending hundreds of thousands of dollars out of his own pocket, Chesney returned to the venue for a bonus show for fans who had braved the nasty weather weeks before, reported GACtv.com. Although he did as much as his contract required the first time around, Chesney felt that he still owed his fans something, like a three-hour set that included covers of Tom Petty, U2, Van Halen, the Eagles and more. It didn't rain this time, but Chesney still got wet.
"Some people were pulling a hot tub on a trailer," the entertainer said. "They were in the parking lot, and when I saw that, I headed to the bus, iced up a case of Corona and took it out. When I got there, they were having such a good time, I grabbed a beer and climbed in with 'em."
