8/10/2007 Stephen L. Betts   Kellie Pickler’s impassioned, tearful appearance at a Nashville radio station this week followed the singer having been accused of being seen driving drunk. Radio personality Intern Adam of WRVW (107.5 The River) in Nashville stated on the air Tuesday that he had seen Kellie driving a black Mercedes at a Nashville McDonald's drive-through window while bouncing up and down, waving her arms in the air and screaming into the speaker. The following morning, Kellie headed down to the studio to confront him about not checking out his story before reporting it. "I'm not here to defend myself," Kellie said on the Woody and Jim morning show. “It's not my side of the story. It's the truth. You said I was drunk driving! Listening to music, dancing — there's nothing wrong with that. You should've called us and actually got your facts together. I didn't do anything wrong. I want to get this little story that you have created about me straight. There's kids that listen to your station...I don't want them to think I'm drunk driving. I'm a role model for these little girls and little boys, and it hurts me that you would get on here and say that about me when it's false." "I'm all about forgiveness," Kellie said, after accepting Adam's apology, "but you can't get on the air and say things like that about a person."
