Kellie Pickler's Romantic Engagement Story

Country Music sweetheart Kellie Pickler has a great deal to smile about, as she has spent the past week celebrating her new fiancé, songwriter Kyle Jacobs. The pair were engaged on a beach in Florida on June 15. "He was on both knees, bawling; I was crying," Pickler said in the latest issue of People.

Jacobs had buried a wooden box in the sand, which included several intimate keepsakes, including a letter from Pickler's father, who had granted his blessing to Jacobs the week prior, and a seashell with Pickler's late grandmother's name inscribed on it. "I wanted to make it special," Jacobs told the magazine.

Clearly, Pickler is ecstatic about her mate, and in quirky Pickler fashion said, "It was the most spiritual moment. We would've gotten married that night had there been a preacher walking by!"
 
Jacobs is known for co-writing Garth Brooks' hit "More Than A Memory" and Tim McGraw's "Still."
