Only one year after giving up meat in her diet, Kellie Pickler has been dubbed one of this year’s Sexiest Vegetarians Alive by People For The Ethical Treatment Of Animals.

“One night I couldn’t sleep and I was up just Googling random stuff and I’m like, “Hmmm, PETA,” Pickler told People. “I saw all the videos, and I just thought it was horrible. It’s animal cruelty. A lot of it has to do with knowing what happens to the animals, and it really bothered me so I will not eat meat.”

Pickler shares this year’s honor with Heroes actor Milo Ventimiglia and is the third Country artist to earn the title. PETA named Shania Twain Sexiest Vegetarian in 2001 and Carrie Underwood has taken the honor twice in 2005 and 2007.
