Keith Urban ended up performing twice during the 51st annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in multi-artist events. Urban filled in on guitar as Al Green and Justin Timberlake teamed up on Green’s classic “Let’s Stay Together,” a performance that was arranged just minutes before show-time (Chris Brown and Rihanna cancelled their appearances). Urban also joined guitarist B.B. King, Buddy Guy and John Mayer in a memorial tribute to Bo Diddley later in the show.Sugarland added in a genre-crossing performance while Jennifer Nettles delivered vocals with the acoustic guitar of Sugarland bandmate, Kristian Bush. "Standing on the stage is going to be a mixture of honor and humility and chaos and beauty and vomit all at the same time," she told The Los Angeles Times prior to the awards. "You just don't want to throw up on stage."The 51st annual Grammy Awards will be known for the year of Country Music performances. Typically only one or two stars are scheduled to appear throughout the night, but this year was a different story. Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood, Kid Rock and more added their Country components to the show.
