With the hype of the CMA Awards still in the air, music fans of all genre's await the 37th Annual American Music Awards on Nov. 22, only 11 days after the CMAs. The AMAs will air live on ABC from the NOKIA Theater in Los Angeles
After co-hosting the CMAs with Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood will be one of only two Country artists, as of yet, scheduled to perform at the AMAs. The other Country act is Keith Urban, who is  nominated for Favorite Male Country Artist.
It comes as no surprise that Underwood, along with Taylor Swift and Reba McEntire, is nominated for Favorite Female Country Artist. The three were also nominated for a similar award, Female Vocalist of the Year, at the upcoming CMAs.
Swift leads the overall AMA nominees with six nominations, including Artist of the Year. She is closely followed by the host of the first AMA Awards, the late Michael Jackson, up for five nominations. Also, up for the Favorite Country Band, Duo, or Group are Rascal Flatts, Sugarland and the Zac Brown Band.
