Kenny Chesney Chases The Police
7/27/2007 The Police reunion might be the year's biggest tour, but fans in New England apparently can’t get enough of Kenny Chesney. Although seats for the Police concerts at Boston's Fenway Park this weekend were still up for grabs Thursday, the fourth annual New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium in nearby Foxboro, Mass. was completely sold out. The Saturday concert was set to feature Kenny, along with Sara Evans, Sugarland, Brooks & Dunn, and Pat Green. The show sold out in 15 minutes back in February, and tickets are now fetching as much as $400 on the Web site Craigslist. Pollstar magazine, which tracks concert-ticket sales, says Kenny's tour is the fifth most popular of the year thus far, and has taken in $33.2 million in ticket sales, while the Police’s $41.9 million take in the first half of the year puts them on top.
