Josh Turner will be holding a benefit concert to help the victims of the EF-4 tornado in April in Ringgold, Ga. The show, “After the Storm: Coming Together Benefit Concert with Josh Turner” will be held on Thursday, July 14 at the Davis Cattle Company in Ringgold. All of the proceeds from the concert will go to the Ringgold Band and the Ringgold athletic fund.

The tornado destroyed about 50% of the businesses, homes, places of worship and the schools. Nine people died, including two students from Ringgold High School. Insurance is paying to repair the damage to the schools, but there is no money for the athletic facilities or the band equipment lost in the storm. At least 95% of the students who attend Ringgold schools participate in either the band or the athletic programs, so it is a great loss.

Josh Turner grew up with very little access to music or music education so he created The Josh Turner Scholarship Fund. The fund is to help assist students interested in pursuing a future in arts and music.
