Partnering with the Make-a-Wish foundation, Country singer Josh Turner recently granted a 10-year-old cancer patient’s last wish.

The little girl, Elizabeth Pitts, requested to meet with the Country star July 17 in her hometown of Valdosta, Ga. But when the doctors informed her that her last days would be cut short, Turner did what he could to grant Pitts at least part of her last wish.

According to The Boot, Turner called Pitts, who had been battling cancer for four years, moments before she died on July 1. He sang to Pitts and talked to her on the phone.

“Elizabeth went to Heaven today after having Josh Turner call and sing to her just after noon,” Pitts' mother wrote on her blog.

The family plans on attending Turner’s July 17 concert in Valdosta in Pitt’s honor.

"She loved music, especially Josh Turner, the color pink and Tinkerbell. Most of all, Elizabeth loved serving others," her obituary reads.

Pitt’s family is requesting donations to Jay’s Hope, The Victoria LeeAnne Newsome Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House.
