Josh Turner Battles Flu, Cancels Shows

3/5/2008 Stephen L. Betts Josh Turner is taking a break from immediate commitments, including a scheduled appearance on the Grand Ole Opry this weekend. The singer is suffering from a persistent and chronic sinus infection following a recent bout with the flu. Although he continued to perform while battling the illness in the last few weeks, doctors have told him that in order to make a full recovery he needs to take it easy. According to Josh’s publicist, none of his upcoming concerts with Carrie Underwood will be affected. He’s scheduled to join Carrie’s Carnival Ride tour in Bethlehem, PA, on March 18 and in Manchester, NH, on March 19.
