John Rich Stays Busy Being Professional

John-Rich
John Rich just doesn’t stop. The singer stays involved in many projects and recently told Gibson.com that his unwavering energy comes from “all the humans who are involved in getting a song from a blank piece of paper to playing a show for 20,000 people.”

From backing political candidates and writing and performing songs to producing his own albums and ones for other artists, such as the new JaneDear Girls, Rich credits all the hard work as part of being a professional.

“I don’t waste a lot of time, don’t watch TV, don’t have vacations,” Rich said. “I have a responsibility to be professional. It’s not an easy task, but that’s what makes it worthwhile.”

Still, Rich finds time to cut loose and get wild. The video for his new song, "Country Done Come To Town," testifies to the singer’s wild side with bikini-clad girls and a creamed corn wrestling competition. But Rich said that his fans expect some rowdiness.

“If I diluted my sound I don’t think the fans would like my music,” Rich said. “Country Music was built by people who kicked ass and had an attitude that they didn’t give a shit. I know the fans love what I do and they’re going to raise some country hell with me.”

"Country Done Come To Town" is a track from Rich Rocks, a new EP from Rich due out later this year.
