John Rich Is A "Celebrity Apprentice" Finalist

John Rich has survived to be in the final two of NBC’s “The Celebrity Apprentice.”

After listening to the consensus of previous winners Bret Michaels, Joan Rivers and Piers Morgan, Trump fired Lil Jon and Meat Loaf.

The finalists: country singer John Rich and Marlee Matlin, who broke an “Apprentice” record by raising $1 million for charity. It was hard to argue against those two. Both have managed to stay above the fray in a contentious, albeit entertaining season. Rich is incredibly talented and focused and seemed to take an early lead in the final competition, which involves creating a campaign and a launch event for 7-Up Retro, a new 7-Up drink made with real sugar.

But the finalists couldn’t do everything by themselves, and so Rich ended up taking Lil Jon, Mark McGrath and Star Jones as team members. Marlee chose Meat Loaf, La Toya Jackson and … Richard Hatch. Hatch’s return was a surprise, given that he was fired from the game relatively early and he’s now back in prison. He won’t be at the live finale next week unless Trump has some great connections within the penal system.
