john-richCountry Music singer John Rich is hitting the charts, and the airwaves, with his new single, "Shuttin' Detroit Down," which debuted at No. 34 on the Radio & Records Singles chart, Rich's first Top 40 hit as a solo artist. The single also found its way to number 41 on the Country Aircheck Singles chart this week.The radio buzz began Tuesday, when Rich debuted the single on Detroit Country radio stations, receiving immediate listener feedback. Tim Roberts, program director at WYCD-FM was quoted in the Detroit Free Press as having said, “It has spread like wild fire. It’s unbelievable. It’s one of the biggest records we’ve had in years.”As a result, Warner Bros. Records swapped the original first single, "Another You," with "Shuttin' Detroit Down," and have pushed Rich's solo album, Son Of A Preacher Man, up to March 24.
