John Hiatt Performs With Daughter Lilly

6/16/2008 Amber Garner Singer/songwriter John Hiatt did his first television performance with daughter Lilly, 24, on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson that will air Tuesday.  According to Nashville newspaper The Tennessean, the two sang “Love You Again.” This wasn’t the first time John Hiatt had performed on the show, but it was the most memorable, “It was just exciting for me because she was so excited. It took me back to what it was like for me the first time I ever did a TV show.” Hiatt and wife Nancy have three other children who are all very creative, “Nancy and I both have the same attitude: as long as they are doing something that they are excited about and they can get passionate about, we’re happy.” But as for Lilly, “Music has turned out to be the thing Lilly got into. She started in her teens, playing guitar in her room But it was three or four years before she even let us hear her sing.” They finally heard her perform at a school talent show, “Our jaws dropped,” said Hiatt.
