Joey + Rory, Gloriana Among Nationwide Stage Performers for CMT Awards

Country fans will get to see additional performances by Jason Michael Carroll, Carter Twins, Eric Church, Eli Young Band, Gloriana and Joey + Rory during the 2009 CMT Music Awards from the Nationwide Insurance stage when the show airs live from Nashville on Tuesday, June 16, at 8 p.m EST.

For the second year in a row, Nationwide Insurance is sponsoring a special stage that resembles the company’s logo where the extra performances will be featured.

Also as a part of their sponsorship, a special Nationwide ‘On Your Side®’ Award will be presented based on fan voting at CMT.com. The 2009 CMT Music Awards, hosted by Bill Engvall, will be broadcast live on June 16 at 8 p.m. EST. Fans can now vote online at CMT.com through Sunday, June 14 to determine the night’s winners. The final nominees for Video of the Year will be announced at the beginning of the live show and fans can vote at CMT.com and via text throughout the live broadcast (ET/CT only) to determine the night’s big winner.
