Joe Nichols To Perform For Dalai Lama

On September 23 the Dalai Lama will be honored with the top award, The Freedom Award, presented by the National Civil Rights Muesum at the Lorraine hotel in Memphis, Tenn.  Country star Joe Nichols has been asked to come perform his hit song, "Believers," during the celebration concert that evening.

Natalie Cole will also join Nichols at the concert which will take place at the Cannon Center.  Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Missing Peace Music and Art Program, which is the Dalai Lama's foundation. 

Nicols truly feels honored to be a part of this, he said, "Performing for the Dalai Lama- those are words I never thought would be coming out of my mouth."
