Joe Nichols Enters Rehab Program

10/12/2007 Stephen L. Betts A message Joe Nichols' management company posted on his website late Friday confirmed the singer has entered a rehab program. The message states: "As Joe has alluded to in interviews over the past year, he has struggled with the issue of substance abuse.  In order to become a healthier person and deal with long standing issues, he has entered into a rehabilitation program for consultation and treatment." Waco, Texas, TV station KWTX reported on their website that officials of the Heart of Texas Fair, which Joe was scheduled to headline Saturday night (10/13) were notified Thursday that he had been hospitalized and would not be able to perform. Joe married Heather Singleton on Sept. 9 in Savannah, Ga. He recently released the new album, Real Things.
