Joe Nichols Heading to Iraq

Next week Joe Nichols will find himself performing for the men and women of our military over in Iraq. On his ten day trip he will perform in Baghdad and a few other stops on the way, TheBoot.com reported.  

"These guys really need a piece of home right now, and times are tough for everybody - especially our military," said Nichols. "For me to go offer a little bit of a good time to them, it's certainly our honor."

Last year, Nichols performed for the troops in Oregon at Camp Pendleton for an ABC television special.  He joined Jessica Simpson, Toby Keith and Clint Black for the special.

The Country singer will be performing his current single, "Believers," when he goes to Iraq next week.  According the Nichols, the song is about having a strong belief and passion. "When people have passion, there's nothing they can't do," he said.
