Jo Dee Messina is returning to the spotlight in early 2010 with the release of her first album in five years, Unmistakable.  The first single from the album to be released will be "Thats God," which will come to light in early January through her Music Room Series tour.
In the five year sabbatical from the music world, Messina got married and is now raising her 10-month-old son, Noah. She has also stayed active with her fans through her Music Room Series tour, a night of music and conversation with the fans.
The new album will stray from Messina's norms, as she has several new love songs, a genre she is not normally a part of.
"With the Unmistakable album, it lets people see a different side of me than they have seen in the past,” Messina said. “For example, I actually recorded straight forward love songs on this album, something I am definitely not known for.
The album's first single, "Thats God," is one of her personal favorites and one close to heart. She wrote the song with Brent Mader.
Since breaking through the Country Music scene in 1996, Messina has garnered nine No. 1 singles and sold over five million records. She has also been nominated for two Grammy awards and won countless CMA and ACM awards.
Her current tour will wrap up in Reno, Nev., on Nov. 29 after a three-night show.
"The shows have been so much fun because they are totally interactive, from the show itself, to giving away tickets via Twitter prior to the show, to the Internet broadcast following the show. It is truly all about the fans."
