In the April 21 issue of Country Weekly, singer Jason Michael Carroll talks about touring, Country Music stardom, and fatherhood. The Arista Nashville recording artist tells the magazine he is amazed at how far his career has come. “We signed the record deal in December 2005, and spent all of 2006 recording the album. To see what a great year 2007 was for us, with ‘Alyssa Lies’ and ‘Living Our Love Song’ and becoming Billboard’s Top New Country Artist of the Year, it’s overwhelming.” Jason Michael Carroll also talks about the opportunity to tour with some of the biggest names in the biz. “Brooks & Dunn’s camp was so cool to us. Most opening acts only get 20 minutes, and they gave us a little more time each night to get out there and do what we wanted to do. That was really cool, so I’m grateful to those guys.” The rising Country Music star will be opening for Carrie Underwood on her Carnival Ride tour this June. Carroll joins Martina McBride on her Waking Up Laughing tour in July.
