Jimmy Wayne’s new book released by Howard Books is now available as of Nov. 1, 2011. The book, Paper Angels marks Wayne’s debut as an author. It is a work of fiction inspired by the recording artist’s childhood as a recipient of the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. Paper Angels was written with best-selling author Travis Thrasher.

“When my sister and I were kids, we were represented by two of those little paper angels hanging on the Salvation Army Christmas tree,” Jimmy said. “Our family was going through a really tough time, and had it not been for the Salvation Army and the people who selected our paper angels, we wouldn’t have had a Christmas. I have never forgotten that and to this day I am still grateful for the generous hearts who take care of these kids at Christmas.”

Wayne’s story is about a disillusioned businessman’s journey in learning the true meaning of Christmas from an unlikely young man.

“Jimmy Wayne has used his Godgiven talent for songwriting to craft Paper Angels, an inspired and beautifully written timeless story that will bless you and encourage you to make a difference,” says Ron Hall, New York Times bestselling author of Same Kind of Different as Me. “Like other classic tales of Christmas, this one should be read year after year as a reminder why we celebrate and give.”
