Country Music singer and charity walker Jimmy Wayne is breaking up his final days on the "Meet Me Halfway" campaign with a little impromptu music. While in Show Low, Ariz., last week, Wayne entered a local karaoke contest as a joke that didn't go over very well.

Wayne entered the contest under the name "Barry Wong," the name of a local politician that Wayne told TheBoot.com he saw on a sign during his travels. "Not only did I enter the contest wearing a black cowboy hat and skiing goggles, but I wore a pink tank-top and danced ... lets not call it dancing," Wayne told the online fan site.

Wayne, performing as "Barry Wong," the North Carolina karaoke champion, chose the Brooks & Dunn hit, "Neon Moon" to sing for the crowd. "One cowboy said to another cowboy sitting on the front row, 'You hold him, and I'll hit him!'" Wayne said.

The jokester got through a few bars before being interrupted by one of the karaoke promoters with "I thought you said you could sing!"

Wayne told TheBoot.com of his prank, "I have to break up the monotony by doing something normal." To view the practical joke in its entirety, visit http://www.knixcountry.com/pages/BarrelBoy2.html.
