Jimmy Wayne Almost Halfway To Phoenix

Jimmy Wayne is now almost halfway through his Meet Me Halfway walk from Nashville to Phoenix to raise awareness of the plight of the homeless. Jimmy told The Boot that this walk just called him, "I feel like this walk is a calling for me," Jimmy says. "I feel like I was supposed to do this. I don't regret it. I do know that I am one of many people trying to make a difference in these teens' lives. I believe that if we wait around on someone else to do it, it's not going to get done.” Jimmy also said all the beautiful people he’s become friends with along the way are just a huge bonus.

Carrie Underwood’s Got A Dozen #1’s Now
Carrie Underwood has scored her 12th #1 with “Temporary Home”. It is the second off her Play On release. Yeah, I could smell that #1 coming when that song was first released.

Darryl Worley Going Overseas To Entertain Troops Again
Darryl Worley is heading overseas for the Stars and Stripes tour to entertain troops. The “We’ve Not Forgotten” tour will make its way through Iraq April 29-May 3. Darryl will even go to remote bases that rarely see entertainment and perform some acoustic sets. Give ‘em all a big ole thank you lick from me too Darryl!

Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Will Record Duet CD
Tim McGraw told Country Standard Time that it is just a matter of time before he and wife Faith Hill record a duet CD. The two, who have been married since 1996, have toured together very successfully and recorded a few single duets. Tim says it is his label that’s in the way of a full CD duet. "I don't want to get into all that stuff, but in the history of the music business, artists and labels have not gotten along incredibly well, because there's a financial way to do things and there's an artistic way." McGraw said. "There's just other things I would like to do, and I think the best part of my career is ahead of me." Tim McGraw says he will record one more CD for Curb Records and then be on his way.

Whisperin’ Bill Anderson’s Bus Is Haunted
Country music legend Bill Anderson is making his way across Canada on a 12-day tour, but he may wish it was over sooner. Seems Bill and his band are hearing some eerie noises coming from the state room of their bus…moans and cries. Whisperin’ Bill says laughingly, "I'm trying to figure out if its Hank Williams wanting to co-write a song or Faron Young just messing with my head!" Now I’d expect Willie Nelson to hear strange sounds on his bus, but Whisperin’ Bill?
