Jessica Simpson May Be Out Of Country

Jessica Simpson's latest breakup apparently is with Country Music.  Reports cited this week say that the 28-year-old singer is no longer an artist with Sony Nashville.  Rumor mills were abuzz this week when it was discovered Simpson's information was no longer on the Sony Nashville or Columbia Nashville websites.

Simpson remains on the Epic label, and reps have stated that the artist was "on loan" to Sony Nashville.

Her debut country album, Do You Know, opened at number one, but it sold only 200,000 copies.

The singer did not attend the ACM Awards show this past Sunday, and Country Music media is quick to point out the pop star's fickle country ways.  GACTV.com points out that when Do You Know debuted, Simpson made the promo rounds, telling all the news outlets that she was a country singer at heart, and was committing to the music.

Simpson even went as far to say she would pay to make country albums if she could not get a label.
