11/1/2007 Stephen L. Betts Jennifer Hanson is gearing up for a busy CMA week, and it promised to be one heck of a “Joyride.” With a new CD set for release in early 2008, and a single that’s currently on the charts, the Universal Records South artist is featured in People magazine's upcoming Country Music Special, as well as the new 2008 Chevy calendar. She’s also set to star in a piece for Mary Kay Cosmetics that will be featured on the CMA Awards telecast on Nov. 7 on ABC-TV and will be featured in behind-the-scenes vignettes on ABC.com, where cameras caught up with her backstage at a recent Nashville performance. Jennifer will also be performing some of her music at the Global Market Showcase for international guests attending the CMA’s, and will perform at the CMA-sponsored Music on the Horizon Showcase, an event designed to spotlight some of country music’s brightest new talent. On Saturday (Nov. 3), Jennifer will be CMT Insider's special celebrity correspondent for its report on CMA nominees.  The producers assigned Jennifer the task of interviewing the legendary Bill Anderson, to discuss his nomination and his extremely successful songwriting career. It was a perfect fit for the woman who is herself a successful songwriter - in addition to writing all of the material on her upcoming CD, she also penned “Leave the Pieces,” a multi-week No. 1 hit for the CMA-nominated duo The Wreckers, as well as Bucky Covington's Top 5 hit, “A Different World.” “Talking with Bill Anderson was an amazing opportunity,” says Jennifer. “He has a career that we all aspire to - as an artist and as a writer. Just preparing for this interview, I was so humbled when I read about all of his accomplishments. And then when I actually met him, it was so nice to see that he is such a kind and thoughtful, not to mention very funny, man.” Keep checking the CountryHound Entertainment Guide for more of Jennifer Hanson’s upcoming TV appearances!
