Jason Michael Carroll's second album, Growing Up Is Getting Old, hit stores Tuesday, and Carroll took time to make a special in-store appearance at a Wal-Mart in Lebanon, Tenn. The singer greeted more than 400 fans, making a grand helicopter entrance to the stage set up in the store's parking lot.

The launch-day appearance may all be part of the sophomore scene, as Carroll told CMT.com, he is well aware of the pressure for this second album to do well. "If this record does well, I get to stick around. If not, I get voted off the island. This is a make-or-break album — although I don't really have a Plan B."

The new record is an anticipated follow up to his 2007 Waitin' In The Country, which produced the hits "Alyssa Lies" and "Livin' Our Love Song."

Carroll co-wrote three of the songs for his latest project, and the current single, "Where I'm From" is climbing up the Top 20.

Carroll is convinced it will keep climbing. "I called Don Gehman, my producer, the other day," Carroll said. "I said, 'Don, I really have a good feeling about everything we've done on this record. I think it's going to be a big record for both of us.'
