Jason Aldean Gets Inked In Honor Of His New Single

Jason Aldean Tattoos on this Town
Jason Aldean already had one tattoo when he began work on his latest album, but he decided to get a second one to commemorate his new single, “Tattoos on this Town.”

"I had one on my shoulder, and now I have a new one on my forearm," Jason said. "It has the names of both my daughters in it. Those are my only two ... for now."

He also talks about the youthful nature of the latest single. "You're just out having fun, growing up wherever you grew up and doing all these things that helped shape you as an adult. But I think as a teen, you don't realize that your teenage years are going to be some of the best years of your life. Then you get older and look back and remember those times and what it's all about."

“Tattoos on this Town” is in good company since Jason’s current album, My Kinda Party, has already produced three hit singles, including the title track, “Dirt Road Anthem,” and “Don’t You Wanna Stay,” a duet with American Idol alum Kelly Clarkson. However, despite the continued success of this album, Jason is already planning and looking towards his next endeavor.

"[Producer] Michael Knox and I met a couple weeks ago to go over songs," Jason reveals. "Before I met with him this last time we already had three that I liked a lot. After this last meeting, we could go in and cut a record." But Jason wants to make sure he exceeds his fans expectations, so he is always on the lookout for new songs. He said, "This is our fourth album, and people know what it is we do, so they're writing songs for us. We'll wait and see what else comes in."

Jason received a multitude of nominations for this year’s CMA Awards, which will be held at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena on Nov. 9 at 8:00 P.M (ET). He is up for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, as well as two nominations for his duet with Kelly Clarkson.
