Jamey Johnson performed his latest hit, "In Color," during the Academy of Country Music Awards earlier this month, and he plans on continuing to perform in the future, be it in a bar or a bigger venue.

Johnson told Billboard, "I think right now we'll just keep doing the same thing we've been doing, which is going out and playing our shows for people. If that turns into bigger venues, then that's fine. But for right now, you've got a honky-tonk band playing in a honky-tonk bar, and that's what we do. I don't need arenas and private jets and all that crap. I just play Country Music."

Since his ACM performance, Johnson's fans have helped raise his album sales by 60 percent. That Lonesome Song currently holds the No. 9 position on Billboard's Top Albums chart.

Last fall, Johnson set to work on his next album. He plans to get the album into the marketplace by the end of this year, but to reach that deadline, he said, "We'll definitely have to get some time in the studio to make that happen."
