James Otto Becomes Voice of ACC College Football

Country Music singer James Otto is about to become the voice of the Atlantic Coast Conference for college football, as the ACC has chosen Otto's "Ain't Gonna Stop" for the 2009 football season. Otto also will embark on a promotional campaign entitled "Ain't Gonna Stop on the Road to Tampa Bay." The marketing effort will run through Nov. 22, offering prizes and experiences for ACC football fans.

"Ain't Gonna Stop," from Otto's album Sunset Man, will be used in various promotional videos featuring Otto in concert and ACC football highlights. During the campaign, Otto will make several public appearances, beginning in Winston-Salem, N.C. on Saturday, Sep. 12, where the Country star will open the Stanford-Wake Forest game by singing the national anthem.

Otto also will perform a pre-game concert at the ACC Football Championship Game in Tampa, Fla., on Nov. 5.

Fans can enter a "Ain't Gonna Stop on the Road to Tampa Bay" sweepstakes at www.theacc.com. Prizes include:

  • Grand Prize including a trip for two to the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game in Tampa. Prize includes airfare, two nights in headquarters hotel, two Club-Level tickets to the game, an exclusive tour of Raymond James Stadium, one iPod Nano with ACC and James Otto content and one guitar autographed by James Otto.
  • 12 First Place Prize winners will receive a special football autographed by the coaches participating in the Dr Pepper ACC Football Championship Game.
  • 12 Second Place Prize winners will receive an I-Pod Nano containing content from James Otto and the ACC.
