Jack Ingram to Guest Judge on Next GAC Star

Since Country Music singer Jack Ingram has won the Music Row stamp of approval (in the form of an ACM award for Best New Male Vocalist of the year,) the celebrity guest offers have apparently started to roll in.

Ingram will join songwriter hall-of-famer Desmond Child and singer/songwriter Victoria Shaw on the panel of Next GAC Star.  The three will offer critiques and guidance to six finalists on the show that offers a take on USA’s Nashville Star, which has since moved to NBC on Monday nights.

“It’s never easy to act as an expert and ‘judge’,” Ingram said through his publicist. “I can assist these artists by providing feedback they can take into consideration and use to better their music."

GAC has chosen 10 of 16 semi-finalists through online voting and music industry professionals and will air a special one-hour episode of Next GAC Star Sept. 3 introducing six finalists.  The aspiring singers will compete for a record deal with Original Signal Recordings, a Gibson guitar and a music video, courtesy of GAC.

“I’m honored GAC asked me to contribute my experiences and that I can help them as they provide aspiring artists an opportunity to receive critiques and national television exposure,” said Ingram.

GAC will air the live episode of Next GAC Star, in which Ingram will guest judge, on Sept. 10.
