Keith Urban is taking his Escape Together World Tour across Canada this week. Keith says he’ll be riding his BMW motorcycle across the TransCanada Highway much of the way. It helps him relieve stress. He says wife Nicole Kidman joins him often on the bike. Wonder if he could hook up a side cart for a dog?

Presently at #11 on Billboard’s Hot Country Singles chart, Carrie Underwood’s first single off her upcoming Play On release, “Cowboy Casanova”, is her fastest rising single to date. It is available for digital download now too. I’m still waiting for the release of her song about me,  “Canine Casanova”.

Target House is a place in Memphis for families of children being treated at St. Jude Children’s Hospital. To celebrate it’s 10th Anniversary they unveiled a special room designed by Brad Paisley. It is based on the design of his cabin and features a pool table and guitar chandelier. Brad’s lovely wife Kimberly Williams-Paisley was on hand for the unveiling and even took time to pick a guitar with a patient. Watch out Brad…

Dolly Parton is releasing a CD/DVD of her performances at O2 Arena in London. It is said to have great out takes from the sound check, interviews, and lots of extra goodies…including wonderful performances by Dolly. It comes out early November.

We don’t know if they’re together still or not, but Big & Rich are releasing their first greatest hits CD next week.

 

Steve Wariner Honored As Instrumentalist

Steve Wariner has been nominated for a Nashville Music Award for Instrumentalist of the Year. The awards are presented by Leadership Music and Next Big Nashville (whoever that is). They are being revived this year after being discontinued in 2001. Other nominees are Jack White, Bela Fleck, Edgar Myer and Jeff Taylor. Who’s your picker to win?
