Is your pet a Top Dog or Cat?

Here’s a great way to help an excellent cause.    The Brown Dog Foundation raises money to help pet owners who cannot afford medical treatment for their beloved animals.  Brown Dog provides funds for these pet owners to pay for veterinary treatment to literally save their pet’s lives.  The alternative is euthanasia, which I’ve always thought sounded way more pleasant than it is.  Now they have a way for you to promote your dog or cat as the best while raising money for the foundation.  Here’s how it works - Dogs and cats vie for the coveted title of Top Dog & Top Cat.  Each dollar they raise counts as a vote, and the dog and cat with the most votes at the end of the 10-week campaign, wins!  The Top Dog & Top Cat will be crowned at our Coronation Pawty to be held June 6th at The Farm at Natchez Trace (just outside Nashville) and is hosted by Tom Randles of WSMV/Channel 4 in Nashville.  Other sponsors of the event include The Farm at Natchez Trace, Nashville Veterinary Surgical Specialists, come.sit.stay, Countryhound.com, Hills & Hamlets, Nashville Paws and the Lucky Pup Boutique & Bath.The deadline to nominate your dog and/or cat is March 20.  Nominees will (human only) will enjoy a Brunch on March 27.  At the brunch, nominees will learn more about Brown Dog Foundation and also learn fundraising techniques while meeting the competition!  Candidates will spend 10 weeks campaigning for the title of Top Dog or Top Cat.  Each dollar they raise counts as one vote.  Bid online or by mailing a check with your designation in the memo line.  There is no minimum or maximum vote amount...  whoever raises the most money at the end of the campaign is crowned Top Dog & Top Cat.Voting cut-off is June 5, 2009, midnight.
