Introducing CMT Summer of Music

Country Music Television is ready to keep Country Music fans cool this summer, with a hot lineup of new shows to keep them indoors. New music specials, live concerts and competitions begin Tuesday, June 16, on CMT, with the must-see CMT Music Awards, followed by programs such as Can You Duet and The Singing Bee later that week.

Other programs to note include CMT Crossroads: Bryan Adams and Jason Aldean, premiering Friday, June 26, at 9 p.m. EST. New episodes of Invitation Only, an alternative concert special in front of a small Nashville studio audience that allows for fan question and answers sessions with today's hottest Country Music stars. Invitation Only premiers July 3 at 11 p.m. EST with Darius Rucker; August 3 features Brad Paisley at 9 p.m. EST; and Reba McEntire airs August 21 at 9 p.m. EST.

CMT's Summer of Music will include hit shows such as CMT Top 20 Countdown, CMT Insider, encore presentations of CMT Crossroads and the special Johnny Cash in San Quentin. The Summer of Music will close out on Labor Day with a special, yet-to-be-announced concert.
