10/22/2007 Stephen L. Betts Faith Hill says she believes her husband’s “If You’re Reading This,” is a song that could define a generation. “That will go down in history as one of the songs that will remind us of what this time was like in our life and the loved ones that were lost [in the war].” Tim included actual families of U.S. servicemen and women in his debut performance of “If You’re Reading This” at the ACM Awards earlier this year. Recalling the couple’s hugely successful Soul2Soul 2007 tour, Faith says that watching her children play while on the road with them this summer brought back memories of her own childhood, although she grew up in the country, and her kids woke up in nearly a different city every morning while on tour. Faith says daughters Gracie, Maggie, and Audrey, loved hanging out with the band and crew, adding that the girls would run around barefoot in between the buses and trucks until it was time to get on board and move on to the next town.
